Client must contact their Head Start provider. A referral is then made to Job and Family Services. Once a referral has been received a letter is sent directly to the client requiring specific documentation to be returned within 10 days in order to process the request childcare assistance. The services will be extended for qualified clients until the end of the current Head Start year (last day of June). Qualified recipients record attendance at the licensed child care provider and the provider bills the state of Ohio. Co-payment along with the voucher is given to the child care provider when payment for services are due.
Weekly co-payment may be required, based on a sliding-scale.

Description
Provides payment of a child care subsidy until the end of the school year for children who are in a Head Start classroom (federal slot only) at the time a parent becomes no longer eligible for Cuyahoga Employment and Family Services child care assistance. In most cases, the parent loses eligibility when their income exceeds the income limits, or after loss of employment.
