Accepts donations of human hair (12 inches in length or more) which are then made into wigs for youth who have lost their hair for a medical reason. Hairpieces are custom-made for children.

Application process
Donations must be mailed. Donation forms available online and should be included with donation. Hair should be braided or tied in ponytails and secured with rubber bands at 2-inch intervals, wrapped in tissue paper, or placed in a plastic bag and then sealed in a mailing envelope and mailed to organization's address. To get a list of salons that offer discounted hair cuts for those donating hair, visit organization's web site 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. List is only available by web site. Donations of hair are not tax-deductible.
Fee
Free (donation requested for processing hair). Haircuts may be discounted, free, or full price for those donating hair.
Eligibility
Donated hair must be clean and dry. Minimum length for donation is 12 inches (will encourage to donate 14+ inches of hair.) Will accept gray hair. Hair must not have been permed or permanently color treated. Will not accept wigs or hairpieces of any sort. Does not accept dreadlocks.
