Description

Provides Autism Scholarship Program (ASP) funds to reimburse parents of children with autism for special educational services from private providers approved by the state that can fulfill a child's Individual Education Plan (IEP's). Since these funds replace monies paid by the state to the school district of residence, when a family accepts this voucher, they can no longer get these services from their school district. Funds may or may not cover the complete cost of services from a particular provider. Parents may use more than one provider as long as the amount requested does not exceed $27,000 in an academic year.
