Anyone in crisis can use the service. It is not meant to be a subsitute for therapy and is not available through cell phone carriers that have not adopted the use of short codes for texting.

No fees for those with AT&T, Sprint, TMobile, or Verzion. Otherwise, standard messaging rates may apply.

Provides confidential crisis intervention via text by dialing 741-741. A live, trained crisis counselor will receive the text and respond quickly, asking what the crisis is and then help inquirers out of a moment of crisis and work to create a safety plan.
