The West Central Ohio Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center is funded by a grant from the Ohio epartment of Health, Continuing, coordinated, and comprehensive care is provided to children and adiults with sickle cell disease, sickle cell trait and other hemoglobinopathies in a 17 county service area. The center is part of the hematology department at Dayton Children's Hospital.

Service The primary mission of Dayton Children's is to provide quality health care for children from infancy through adolescence. The hospital will be a health care resource to all children of the Miami Valley regardless of their socioeconomic status.
