AFTER SCHOOL CHILD ENRICHMENT (ACE) | OHIO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE
Provides a $1000 credit/child to qualifying families to use for enrichment and educational activities with department-approved education service providers. Covered activities may include before or after school educational programs, day camps, music lessons, tutoring, curriculum and materials for home schooled families, field trips to historical landmarks, museums, science centers, and theaters, including admission, exhibit, and program fees; language classes, study skills services, and more.

Application process
Application is online only. Must create an online account that will be credited with the funds once application is approved. Approval generally takes about two weeks. Families choose programs to participate in that are approved by the department. Reimbursement can be before or after program has been completed.

Eligibility
Ohio families with at least one child aged 6-18 years who hasn't graduated from high school and who meets at least one of a number of conditions. Conditions include residence in a school district identified as having a high rate of chronic absenteeism or a district eligible for an EdChoice scholarship; family income at or below 400% of the federal poverty level; eligibility for programs like Medicaid, SNAP, OWF, or other government social programs. Home schooled students are eligible for the benefit.
