Provides a national network of mental health professional volunteers who have agreed to provide an hour a week of free mental health counseling. Availability may vary by area, but counseling can be for: anxiety, depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, sexual health and intimacy concerns, bereavement counseling, brain injuries, child and adolescent counseling, critical incident stress debriefing, divorce, family issues, gambling addiction, gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender issues, general counseling, marriage counseling, parent education, pastoral counseling, postpartum counseling, sexual assault counseling, sexual/love addiction counseling, substance use disorder counseling.

Application process
Go to website homepage and click the "Get Help" link. Use the provider search links to identify a provider of choice. Phone that provider to schedule an appointment. Callers should identify themself as a Give an Hour client and be prepared to call a few providers to find someone who is a good fit. Should the caller experience any difficulty or is unable to reach/find a provider in their area said caller can contact "Give an Hour" by email.
