Processes complaints and advises how to handle problems regarding housing discrimination. Offers information and help on the nine protected classes in the state of Ohio including race, ancestry, military status, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, and disability. Provides advocacy for tenants with disabilities in cases where the landlord is required by law to address accessibility issues (such as the installation of grab bars, ramps, and in cases where an assistance/therapy animal is needed). Contacts the landlord to inform them of their responsibilities (if needed).

Provides programs that aid in the alleviation of housing related issues such as denial of equal housing opportunities, non-compliance of housing providers or consumers with the Ohio Tenant/Landlord law, unethical lending practices, and lack of awareness of the general public as to their rights and obligations. Offers programs that address a discrimination complaint service, tenant/landlord services, housing counseling, and education/outreach.
