Take-Back Days: These occur twice a year and locations are offered in Newark and surrounding communities. Enables the safe disposal of unwanted and expired prescription and over the counter medications. Pills should be removed from bottles and placed in baggies. This is a great opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft. *Acceptable items for disposal are: Prescription drugs, Over-the-counter medications , Pet medications, Vitamins , Ointments, creams or lotions , Liquid medications, cough syrups . *Items NOT accepted include: Liquids, injectables and inhalers.
