Supportive Services For Veterans Families (ssvf) | Muskingum County Community Action

Provides supportive services for veterans and their families. SSVF can assist eligible homeless veterans or eligible veterans with evictions to obtain housing stability. Veteran must bring DD214 form and complete an initial screening application to determine eligibility. Funding for these services comes from the Department Of Veterans Affairs.

Eligibility

To be eligible for services with the SSVF program: - Head of Houshold must be a veteran or the spouse must be a veteran - Income must be less than 50% of AMI - Household is homeless or at risk of homelessness according to HUD definition - Veteran must have served at least one day in active duty in the US military with a discharge status that is other than dishonorable - Veteran must be willing to work with case manager to set and obtain goals and work within a budget - Household must be capable of sustaining housing after short term assistance and case management.
