Family Child Care (fcc) Licensing | Summit County Department Of Job And Family Services
Identifies and licenses individuals who want to provide a Type A or B child care in their own home, including care provided to families by friends/relatives. Licensed programs are inspected prior to and after receiving an Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) license and must verify compliance with state and federal requirements. In addition, programs will also be investigated in response to complaints received through ODJFS. These providers may provide child care to both publicly and privately funded children.

- In order for a provider to care for children of families receiving publicly-funded child care, the provider must be licensed by ODJFS. - Serves providers offering child care in their own home for children age 13 and under, including care provided by friends or relatives.
