Serves residents of Ross County and City of Chillicothe who live in single family owner-occupied homes. Ages 18 and older, and who meet low- to moderate-income requirements. Cannot be delinquent or in default with mortgage payments, homeowner's insurance, or property taxes. Additional eligibility requirements apply; inquire for full details.

Description

Provides Emergency Home Repair grants and 0%-interest, partially forgivable Home Rehabilitation loans to homeowners lacking resources to repair and maintain their owned and occupied one-family housing units. Emergency home repair grants generally apply to furnaces and hot water heaters, but may also apply to water/sewage systems, accessibility improvements, and lead-based paint abatement. Depends on funds available at the time of application. Rehabilitation Loans may be applied toward non-emergency improvements to substandard housing conditions related to the same areas as well as foundation work, roofs, gutters, electrical upgrades, plumbing, insulation, windows, doors, siding, etc.
