Call to schedule an appointment. Appointments last 1 to 3 hours. Patients may have to return 2 or more times for treatment that would require only 1 or 2 visits in private practice. Children typically do not need a screening visit and have shorter appointments.
Payment is expected on the day services are provided. Fixed fees for an exam, cleaning, fluoride treatment, oral health instruction, and home care kit: - Children (ages 5 to 10 years): $6. - Adolescents and adults (ages 11 to 59 years): $10. - Older adults (60 years and over): $8. - SSC faculty/staff/current students: $8. Fixed fees for X-ray services (dentist prescription required): - Duplicate x-rays $5. - Panoramic x-ray: $5. Fixed fees for additional services: - Clinic may offer additional services to patients upon completion of their comprehensive care plan. - Sealants (must be prescribed by a Clinic dentist): $5 per tooth/$15 maximum per patient.

Description
Provides dental services by dental hygiene students under the supervision of licensed dental professionals. Every service is not available every semester. The following preventive dental services may be available: - Health Screening (blood pressure check, oral cancer screening). - Dental examination and oral prophylaxis (cleaning). - Oral health instruction (with home care kit). - Necessary x-rays. - Fluoride treatment. - Denture/removable appliance cleaning. - Sealants (when indicated). - Polishing existing fillings (when indicated). - NOTE: Restorative and emergency dental services are not provided. Does not offer fillings or extractions.
