Housing Choice Voucher (section 8) Rental Assistance | Geauga Metropolitan Housing Authority
Administers subsidized rental program for low-income residents. Eligible tenants selected from the waiting list pay approximately 30% of adjusted gross family income in rent and utilites, and the subsidy makes up the balance of market rent. The subsidy moves with the tenant, and it can be used in any unit in the private market which passes a GMHA Housing Quality Standards inspection, as long as the tenant remains eligible. No assistance is provided with paying a rental deposit through this program.
