Provides supplemental food vouchers; nutrition education; breastfeeding education, support and counseling; and referral services to eligible women and children. During the summer, Farmer's Markets are valued at $30 per set - these are available while supplies lasts. Also offfers speakers who discuss the program and the vallue of good nutrition

Eligibility
Women who are pregnant OR lactating with a baby up to one year of age, OR postpartum for up to six months after the termination of a pregnancy by birth, miscarriage or abortion. Those younger than 18 do not need parental/guardian permission. Children are eligible up to 5th birthday. Eligible individuals must live in Lucas County, must be at nutritional risk as determined by an agency professional using the Federal Nutritional Risk Priority System and must meet income guidelines. Income eligibility guidelines are up to 185% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines that were in effect the previous April 1. Number in household includes unborn children (example: pregnant, single woman is a household of 2.) Definition of income does NOT include household assets. Individuals receiving Medicaid, Ohio Works First or Food Stamps automatically meet income eligibility.
