Those who go on to adopt receive pre-custody services, subsidized services, finalization and post-custody services. Provides monthly board rate plus medical and clothing expenses for the child in foster care.

Eligibility

Darke County residents age 18 and over. Must pass a background check. Prospective applicants must be in good physical and mental health, have a stable home with room for an additional child or sibling group, must be able to provide a nurturing family environment. In the case of a foster child, must be able to support family reunification or help the child move toward permanence through adoption. Must complete pre-service training and have an approved family assessment.
