Volunteer Opportunities - Visiting Wards Of County | Geauga County Court Of Common Pleas - Juvenile / Probate Division
Seeks volunteers to visit with wards of the county for approximately one hour and helps fill out forms and file them with the court. Volunteers select the number of wards they wish to visit. Wards are generally adults with developmental disabilities or who have dementia and who have been deemed incompetent by the court.

Hears cases involving the delinquency of persons under eighteen years of age and cases dealing with unruly, abused, neglected, and dependent children. The Juvenile Division also hears all traffic offenses committed by persons under eighteen years of age, and has jurisdiction in adult cases involving paternity, child abuse, nonsupport, and failure to send children to school.
