To Apply for NEW Medicaid, OWF, and SNAP Benefits: GOOD - Contact the receptionist for an application. Your interview for assistance will be scheduled within 7 days from the date you turn in your application. BETTER - Apply ONLINE at benefits.ohio.gov. You will be scheduled for an interview within 7 days. BEST - Call 1-844-640-OHIO (6446) to apply by phone and complete your interview the SAME DAY. Medicaid lines are open Mon-Fri 8am-4pm; SNAP/Cash lines are open Mon-Fri 8am-3pm.

Description

Programs to help families achieve self-sufficiency, provides eligible applicants with food stamps and Medicaid services. Ohio utilizes the Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) Program to administer food stamp distribution. Eligible families receive an electronic card with a dollar credit equal to the maximum monthly benefits based on family income, family size, and other eligibility criteria. Families/individuals use the EBT card at participating stores. The family/individual is able to add credit to the card each month for basic food items to support the household.
