Students in 11th or 12th grades, and are enrolled in participating high schools in Lake County and Geauga County (Berkshire, Cardinal, Chardon, Fairport Harbor, Kenston, Kirtland, Madison, Painesville City, Riverside, and Perry). Depending on the area of study, other eligibility may apply.

Interested students should contact their guidance counselor or go to the Web site, download an application, and submit the application by mail (address on application). May also phone administrative number M-F: 7:30am-3:30pm, or e-mail through web site for more information. Students are interviewed in January or February at their associate school.

Does not charge tuition for secondary students enrolled in high school programs. However, students pay a fee for materials and any personal tools that are required. Students may be required to purchase uniforms and/or workbooks if necessary to the program. No student will be denied the opportunity to attend this school because of the inability to pay fees.

Description

Provides vocational education, career information, and vocational assessment for youth who reside in the communities that make up the school district. Offers programs in areas of study such as engineering, automotive, cosmetology, computer technology, health occupations, culinary arts, greenhouse and landscaping, early childhood education, marketing, etc. Also offers opportunities for students to gain work experience.
