- Provides a phone line for City of Akron residents to report damage to their homes, businesses or other private property due to flooding or other severe storm damage. - Collects damage reports to provide to Summit County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) in the event a state of emergency is declared by the EMA. - A declaration of a state of emergency does not guarantee that any emergency funds will come from the State or Federal Governments, but this is the first step in the eligibility process. - Affected area will then be reviewed and the information will be provided to the Ohio Emergency Management Agency.
