Home Energy Assistance Program | Adams Brown Community Action Partnership

Offers a heating bill credit to eligible households through the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) one time per year. Assistance is applied directly to the bill for a household's primary heating source. Applications are accepted between July 1st and May 31st.

Eligibility

Open to residents of Adams and Brown County who have a household income at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Current FPL guidelines: https://aspe.hhs.gov/topics/poverty-economic-mobility/poverty-guidelines Examples of eligible primary heating sources include natural gas, electric, fuel oil/kerosene, propane, coal, wood, or pellets, etc.
