Hud Lead-based Paint Hazard Control Grant Program | Summit County Public Health

Provides grants to assist eligible Summit County homeowners with lead control projects. Landlords may be eligible to receive a 75% grant for work to control lead paint. Lead abatement projects can include siding, doors, windows, steps and porches. Note: Can service homes located within the City of Akron.

Eligibility

Must meet the following criteria: - The home is built before 1978 and has lead paint hazards. - A child under the age of six (6) lives in the home OR visits the home for a period of at least six (6) hours a week. - The household meets the income guidelines (subject to change) as set forth by HUD. - Property taxes must not be delinquent.
