Application process

ON ELECTION DAY: On election day, voters must vote in the polling place that serves the address on their voter registration. Those in line at 7:30pm will be allowed to vote. Individuals who wish to vote curbside must send someone into the polling location and request that board staff send out officials who can administer voting curbside. Those who find themselves (or a minor child) hospitalized on election day may call to speak with staff regarding the process to vote. Ask for both the polling address and the precinct number that goes with the registration address, since many polling locations serve more than one precinct. Polling place information is also available by phone or website any time. Live staff may be available during expanded hours to give information on election day. Provisional ballots: Those walking in to vote on election day may be required to vote a provisional ballot by poll workers for a variety of situations. Poll workers will provide information on how to verify documents in order to ensure provisional ballots are counted when verification of voter registration is made. Voters voting a provisional ballot have four days immediately after election day to present acceptable documents at the board of elections in their county in order to have their votes counted. Those voting a provisional ballot on election day in a precinct other than the one assigned to them will not have their ballot counted. ABSENTEE BALLOTS AND EARLY VOTING: Check website or phone for scheduled early voting hours. Walk in. Any voter in line when that day's hours for in-person early voting ends may remain in line to apply for and receive an absentee ballot. Individuals who wish to vote curbside must send someone into the early voting location and request that board staff send out officials who can administer voting curbside. Schedule is subject to change. Must fill out a written request to vote and provide appropriate documents. May also call for more information.

Fee
