Enforces dog-related ordinances and offers dog licensing. Handles and investigates complaints regarding injured, stray dogs, and dog bites. Picks up stray dogs (not owner-surrendered dogs). Provides a kennel for stray dogs and accepts dogs surrendered by owners. Offers dogs for adoption (if stray is licensed, will try to reunite dog with owner before offering for adoption). Adoption includes behavioral and medical evaluations, spay/neuter services, vaccines, de-worming, and a microchip. Offers euthanasia services for dogs that are suffering from advanced age, incurable disease, or severe injury.
