Hours
Monday - Friday: 7:30am to 4:00pm. Closed on holidays. Ohio law requires that licenses be renewed from December 1st through January 31st, or within thirty days after a dog owner acquires a new dog. Puppies must be licensed by the time they reach three (3) months of age.

- Purchase a license in-person, by mail, or online at http://FiscalOffice.summitoh.net. - There are also 20 neighborhood locations throughout Summit County where dog owners can purchase a license. Visit the website to view a full list of locations. - Kennel licenses must be purchased at, or completed applications mailed to, the Services Department. - Handicapped Assistance tags for dogs that provide assistance to citizens with disabilities must be obtained in person at the Services Department.
Fee
- Fixed fee of $18 annually for a 1-year dog license. - Fixed fee of $54 for a 3-year dog license. - Fixed fee of $180 for lifetime/permanent dog license. - Fixed fee for annual kennel license fee (for five (5) dogs) is $80. - Nominal additional fee for licenses purchased online or at a neighborhood location. - Handicapped Assistance tags are free and are valid for the trained dog's entire life. - Dog licenses renewed after January 31st will be subject to a $18 late penalty. - Annual kennel license fees (for five (5) dogs) renewed after January 31st is $160, $8 fee per additional tag (after the first five).
Eligibility
Serves dog owners in Summit County. Dogs older than six (6) months must have been vaccinated for rabies before a license is issued.
