Consumers are encouraged to apply for Medicaid benefits on-line at benefits.ohio.gov or in person. For those seeking nursing home medicaid or waiver assistance, please come to the agency to complete an application for assistance.

Provides assistance to low income families, pregnant women, disabled, blind, aged, children up to age 19, spendown program, waiver programs and long term patient care. Healthy Start / Healthy Families is a type of health insurance that helps low-income families get health care. It can help pregnant women at any age, infants, children, and teens up to age 19. Income limits for Healthy Start are much higher than they are for regular Medicaid.
