East End's Foster Grandparent Program | East End Neighborhood House
Provides opportunities for older adults to give support and care to children who have special needs in school and daycare settings. Participants receive a small stipend, an annual physical examination, accident and liability insurance and meals during service hours.

As scheduled by the agency, generally M-F: 9:00am - 5:00pm. Before being matched with a child, applicants are required to complete 20 hours of training; 90 days of internship; 4 hours each month on-going training.

Ages 55 and older, residents of Cuyahoga County, who meet the Department of Human Services Poverty Guidelines. (125%). May also volunteer and not receive a stipend if income is greater than guidelines. Must also successfully pass a physical exam, tuberculosis test, and criminal background check. Targeted but not restricted to African Americans.
