Adult Residential Treatment - Mental Illness | Hopewell

Serves adults age 18 and older with diagnosed mental illness. Primary focus is on persons with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and major depression. Must be under current psychiatric care, in reasonable physical health, and not requiring nursing home level care. Must possess some minimal self-care skills, exhibit no actively addictive, violent, or suicidal behaviors, and have no history of sexual misconduct. Admission is voluntary.
Residential program: 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Residents can typically stay anywhere from 3 to 36 months.

Description

Provides a 306 acre live-in therapeutic farm community that offers residential and day treatment for adults with serious mental illness. Clients relearn daily living skills and improve their interpersonal skills while engaging in farming practices. In addition to work duties, offers individual and family counseling, a high school diploma program, health and well being discussion/education groups, prevocational training, and psychosocial activities. Meals provided for day treatment participants. Can house up to 40 residents.
