Early Intervention | Licking County Board Of Developmental Disabilities
Early Intervention provides family-centered services for infants and toddlers to age 3 with a developmental delay, disability or a medical condition likely to result in a delay. If you have questions about your child’s development, we will arrange for your child to be assessed and/or evaluated in your home to determine eligibility and need for services. There is no charge to you for the evaluation/ assessment or ongoing services provided by our Board if needed.

Application process
Anyone can make a referral to Licking County’s Early Intervention program. You will need the child’s name, date of birth, address, parent’s name and contact information. To make a referral, please call 1-800-755-4769. You can also make a secure online referral at www.OhioEarlyIntervention.org . For children over the age of three, contact LCBDD's Admissions Coordinator at 740-349-6588 or 800-325-2848. They will assist with eligibility determination.

Eligibility
Children under the age of three must have a delay in one area of development (cognition, adaptive, gross motor, fine motor, communication, social-emotional) or have medical or mental diagnosis that puts them at significant risk of developing a delay. For families with a child age three through age five, the child must have a delay in two of the areas listed above.
