Eligibility
Applicants must be at or below 125% of the federal poverty level.
*Applicants are also ineligible if providing assistance would create a conflict of interest.
Client may be eligible for representation in the following cases:
*Threatened with removal from a nursing home or long-term care facility
*Denied medical care because Medicare/Medicaid or an insurance provider refuses coverage
*Threatened or sued for a medical debt
*Grandchildren were placed in your care by Children’s Protective Services and you need legal custody to obtain services, income, or housing
*Have been the target of financial exploitation
*Need a reasonable accommodation or modification to stay in your home
*Denied or terminated from public benefits such as food assistance, disability assistance, or Social Security income
*Victim of abuse or neglect
