Application process

Call the office for more information or to report suspected animal abuse or cruelty. To investigate a report of animal cruelty, neglect or abandonment humane officers need the following information: - The name and phone number of the reporting party. - The address where the animal(s) is located. - What the problem is and when it was noticed. - If possible the name of the owner of the animal(s) or of the person committing the act of cruelty.

Eligibility

Serves Summit County. Ohio law allows the Humane Society to rescue sick, abused, injured, and abandoned animals. Contact the local animal control agency regarding healthy stray animals. The Humane Society is prohibited from handling wildlife.
