Residents of Geauga County who have a family member with a developmental disability living in the home and meets eligibility requirements. Onset of developmental disabilities must have been before the age of 22. Testing will be done using the Ohio Eligibility Determination Instrument. Limits on the number of times clients may receive service is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Client will be advised upon intake.
24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Sliding scale from zero, based on taxable income.

Description

Facilitates in and out-of-home respite care for individuals with developmental disabilities. Duration can be for a matter of hours or days. If pre-approved, the caregiver may be compensated.

Serves children and adults with developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and traumatic brain injuries. Offers coordinated activities and programs including children's services (focusing on early intervention and community inclusion). Assist in finding comprehensive adult services (including vocational training, community employment, workshop opportunities and senior programming). Residential services offer intensive, on-site housing as well as community supported-living homes.
