Crisis Residential Treatment/Stricklin Crisis Stabilization Unit | Frontline Service
Provides a temporary 15-bed Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) for clients who have serious mental illnesses and are experiencing a psychiatric crisis or need medication stabilization but are not admitted to an inpatient facility. The average length of stay is one week, after which the client's case manager or unit social workers will help to link them to any needed services. Admission is voluntary.

Application process
Referral preferred from a psychiatric emergency room, mobile crisis unit, a case manager, or the police dept. (however, self-referral and family referral accepted also). Call for screening to determine appropriateness for the unit, then client can be brought in for assessment.

Eligibility
Must be in a mental health crisis, age 18 or older, live in Cuyahoga County, and not be currently under the acute influence of drugs or alcohol. Must be medically stable. Able to independently perform activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
