Volunteer Opportunities | Girls On The Run East Central Ohio

Provides a variety of volunteer opportunities. Some opportunities may include the following: Coaching (head, assistant and junior), Running buddy (run with a girl at the annual 5K), Event planning/Public relations, 5K Event Committee, Race-day staff (such as water stop or course official), Administrative support (such as marketing, fundraising, grantwriting, and social media).

Hours

- Programs are generally established based on coach and/or site availability, so hours vary by location. - Programs generally last 75 to 90 minutes and meet once or twice a week in the spring and/or fall.

Eligibility

- No experience necessary. - Coaches do not have to run. - Training and supplies are provided. One coach per team must be certified in first aid and CPR. Training is available at no cost through the agency. - Volunteer coaches should be enthusiastic, dedicated, and positive individuals of all backgrounds, committed to empowering girls with valuable life lessons; individuals with a sincere interest in leading a healthy lifestyle and a sincere desire to help girls overcome the many difficult issues they face; and individuals who lead a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
