Client should bring any material he has relative to job search (e.g. resume, letters of reference). Photo ID required if client needs assistance with bus tickets. For birth certificate assistance, applicant will need to know where they were born printed verification of Social Security number: Proof of Social Security Number for anyone applying of any age: will accept Social Security Card a printout from the applicant's doctor with their Social Security number (all numbers must be visible) printout from a government agency such as county job and family services, annual statement from Social Security regarding benefits with SS number unmasked.
Orientation is M and Th: 9:00am-12:00noon.

Call or walk in M-F: 8:30am-4:30pm to schedule orientation appointment. May also schedule online. If ID is needed, will discuss process to receive service during orientation.

Description

Works with clients and employers to help those wanting to increase their job-finding skills or to find additional work. Staff will help the client look for a job but do not directly provide jobs. Service includes job readiness activities such as resume writing, interviewing skills and techniques, networking, being organized, review of job keeping skills and professional development. Can help with removing barriers such as identification or birth certificate replacement (secondary to becoming a client). Maintains lists of upcoming career fairs. Employers frequently address the group.
