Persons with the following disabilities may qualify for Directory Assistance Exemption Program: - Visual disabilities such as blindness, legal blindness, unable to read standard print with correction, and so forth. - Physical disabilities such as loss of hands or use of/or control of hands; constant severe tremor, spasticity, or paralysis; non-correctable double vision; significant debilitating conditions such as those found in advanced states of certain disease. - Cognitive disabilities such as difficulty with short term memory, inability to sequence numbers. - Hearing disabilities such as permanent hearing loss or decreased hearing). - Speech disabilities such as stuttering and difficulty pronouncing sounds and words.
Once approved, service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
