Description

An intensive program for men diagnosed as substance dependent with an additional need for increased structure. The program addresses client needs as identified in the Contemplation/Preparation stage of change/treatment. These include ambivalence, extrinsic motivation and discovering intrinsic motivators for change. The program meets three hours per day, three days per week, for twelve to fifteen sessions. The client is then re-evaluated for appropriate program/stage placement. It is based on Matrix Model curriculum that addresses the dynamics and impact of addiction on the brain, identifies internal and external triggers, and behavioral/thinking errors.
