SUMMER LEARNING EXPERIENCE | CLEVELAND METROPOLITAN SCHOOL DISTRICT

Provides a program designed to assist students with finishing a course of study while enriching their knowledge of a variety of topics (community history, community revitalization, invention projects and many more). Program includes camp programs in the arts, athletics, or other areas. Program is staffed by certified district teachers. Remedial education and summer school classes for youth who need extra help with or reinforcement of basic skills and other curricula are also available. Specialized classes may work on improving specific skills such as reading or English language skills. Service includes breakfast and lunch.

For 2023, there are two camp sessions June 20-July 21 and for high school, June 26-July 2. Program is M-F: 8:00am-3:30pm.

Eligibility

Ages 5-18 who are enrolled or pre-registration for the following academic year in the school district, which includes most of Cleveland, parts of Brook Park and Garfield Heights, and all of Bratenahl, Linndale, and Newburgh Heights. Eligible students may sign up for one or both sessions.
