Hiv/aids Education And Prevention | Equitas Health
Equitas Health offers a wide array of prevention programs and interventions for all ages and groups as well as training and consultation for professionals who work with our target populations. Presentations are age appropriate and culturally specific and often provide safer sex supplies (where appropriate) and education materials such as curricula, pamphlets, brochures, fact sheets and videos. Presentations can include topics such as: - What is HIV/AIDS - Local HIV/AIDS-related programs and services - How the virus is and is not transmitted - First person stories by a Person Living with HIV/AIDS - Prevention methods and strategies - AIDS in the workplace, school or other settings - Treatment and research updates - HIV/AIDS and STD basics - Relationship between substance abuse & HIV - What happens if I am HIV infected - Self-esteem & sexual empowerment.

Areas where HIV is spreading most rapidly and/or with populations disproportiantely affected by HIV, including: Gay and Bisexual Men, Men of Color, HIV positive individuals struggling to adopt safer sex practices, Youth and Adolescents, Women of Color, Individuals struggling with substance abuse.
