Provides up to $20,000 in down payment assistance to qualifying households wishing to purchase a home available under the Newport Homeownership Development Housing Project. Assistance is provided as a forgiveable loan.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be able to secure their own first mortgage financing
- Have been employed for at least the past 12 months
- Have favorable criminal history
- Have a household income at least 40% of the Area Median Income and up to or less than 80% of the Area Median Income
- Successfully complete Homebuyer Education training
