Camp Ho Mita Koda - Residential Camp | Camp Ho Mita Koda
Provides summer residential camp programs for youths who have Type 1 Diabetes. Camp participants engage in fun and educational activities. Different camps are offered such as: traditional sleep-way camp, family camp (where the whole family participates), leadership training, and Buddy Camp (where the child can bring a friend or family member with them). shorter weekend-long camps for teens are also offered. Along with traditional camping activities, Camp Ho Mita Koda provides teaching moments to help build a foundation for proper diabetes management in a closely monitored and safe environment. Develops a personal plan beast suits each individual camper. Camp is supported and works in conjunction with many pharmaceutical companies and hospital systems and are able to provide many supplies for campers while they attend camp.

Call M-F: 9:00am-5:00pm to request a registration form. Can also download a form and submit it through the camp website (generally available after Nov. 1 for following camping season).
Fee
Fixed Fee. Camperships are awarded to youth whose family income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line (adjusted gross income, before taxes and other deductions).
Eligibility
Most camps are for youth with type 1 Diabetes ages 5 through 17 (specific camps serve different age ranges). Family camps are for families with a child with type 1 Diabetes (no age limit).
