Prevention, Retention And Contingency (prc) - Transportation | Tuscarawas County Job And Family Services
Provides assistance with transportation expenses in order to help clients with new employment or to retain employment. Provides assistance with vehicle repairs (not to exceed $1,000 in a 24-month period); gasoline vouchers ($50 per month limit and maximum of $200 in 12-month period); Driver's License reinstatement (once per lifetime - must not be due to DUI or child support); Automobile insurance (up to four (4) months - no cap - once in a lifetime).

Eligibility
- Serves Tuscarawas County households with at least one child under the age of 18 (or through 19 if the child is still in high school), pregnant women (last trimester) and (in certain cases) the non-custodial father or mother. - Family must have income which is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. - At least one member of the family must be a United States citizen or qualified alien. - Must be employed and working at least 20 hours per week or newly employed with promise of working at least 20 hours per week. - Unemployed and in educational or training program of 20 or more hours per week. If unemployed - vehicle repairs are only for those required to care for disabled child in the home. - Will not help with driver's license reinstatement fees if due to a DUI or due to failure to pay child support.
