Serves families who are in crisis (homelessness, domestic violence, parent in drug or alcohol treatment, parent receiving medical or mental health treatment that makes them unable to care for their children, children at risk of abuse or neglect, parent in short-term incarceration, parent needing emergency respite from caring for a child who is developmentally disabled).
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, length of stay is determined by the need/situation and arranged by client and the agency.

Provides homes (through volunteer families) for vulnerable children - helps families before a major crisis hits, tries to keep families intact, minimize children entering foster care and reduce abuse and neglect. Also provides support to those families by providing transportation, facilitating family visits, and by providing tangible resources to host families.
