Alternative Sentencing And Probation | Geauga County Court Of Common Pleas - Juvenile / Probate Division

Provides probation for youth who are found to be delinquent but are not placed in a residential facility. Offers probationers case management and referrals to needed supportive services such as drug treatment and mental health services. Makes investigations in order to prepare dispositional reports. Hears cases involving the delinquency of persons under eighteen years of age and cases dealing with unruly, abused, neglected, and dependent children. The Juvenile Division also hears all traffic offenses committed by persons under eighteen years of age, and has jurisdiction in adult cases involving paternity, child abuse, nonsupport, and failure to send children to school.
