Serves Cuyahoga County women who are pregnant and using tobacco or who stopped smoking 3 months prior to becoming pregnant.

Call or walk in to set up an appointment or to register as a participant. Participants are tested for tobacco use in order to continue participation in the program.

Description

A Community Health Worker meets 16 times with the client (4 prenatal and 12 postpartum). Each session involves support education and testing to verify continued abstention from tobacco. Program is designed to give women incentives to stop using tobacco during and after pregnancy by providing diapers to those who remain tobacco-free during pregnancy and the first year of their child's life. Provides baby diapers for eligible women. Those who remain tobacco-free will receive 14 $25 vouchers to use for diapers for one year from participation.
