BRIDGES - BUILDING BRIGHTER FUTURES | OHIO DEPARTMENT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES
Provides financial and other supports to eligible young adults to assist in finding and maintaining safe and secure housing (possibly rent, deposit, and/or gas, electric or water utilities), food, clothing, personal care items, educational and training expenses, and other services that assist with transitioning from foster care to adulthood. Service includes regular meetings with a case manager to help direct the young adult and oversee payments for services. Assistance may be provided as long as the young adult remains eligible.

Eligibility
Serves young adults aged 18 through 20 who are in the process of aging out of the foster care system. Must be doing one of the following: completing high school or working toward high school diploma equivalency credential, enrolled in college or a vocational education program; participating in an employment program (such as Ohio Means Jobs or Ohio Works First), employed for at least 80 hours per month; or unable to do any of the above activities due to physical or mental health condition (must be documented by a physician). Transportation assistance available for reasons of employment or education, medical, or social service agency appointments. Serves the following counties: Adams, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Greene, Hamilton, Highland, Miami, Montgomery, Pike, Preble, Scioto, Shelby, Warren
