Allen County Children's Services

Our goal is simple. Protect children. At the core of it all, our agency is focused on protecting the children of Allen County by supporting and strengthening families in partnership with the community. We are mandated by law and commited to investigate all reports of child abuse, neglect, and dependency. We provide casework staff 24/7 through emergency on-call services. Our team responds to emergency situations within 1 hour when a child is reported to be in immenent risk. We also provide supportive services to children and their families to eliminate abuse and neglect of children. These services include substitute care for children who cannot safely remain in their homes as well as permanent homes through adoption, for those children who cannot be reunited with their parents or legal custodian. You can make a report to Children Services by calling (419) 227-8590. There is someone answering the phone Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If it is after 4:30 p.m., on a weekend or on a holiday, emergency reports should be made to law enforcement agencies who will contact our on-call children services staff. If it’s an emergency, please call the Sheriff’s line at (419) 227-3535 Please DO NOT make reports to our email address. Your concerns are too important to wait until someone checks the day's email.
