Substance Use - Heroin Overdose Self-treatment (narcan / Naloxone) And Fentanyl Test Strips | Thrive 4 Change
Provides a kit that contains naloxone, a prescribed nasal inhalant that reverses an opioid overdose. If needed, client will receive instruction on how to recognize and respond to an overdose and how to administer intranasal Naloxone to reverse the opioid overdose. All training will be provided by a hospital physician. Also provide fentanyl test strips which can be used to test substances for fentanyl as well as safe use supplies (such as clean needles, condoms, etc.).

Application process
Clients can complete online form to have kit sent by mail. May also phone for information M-F: 9:00am-5:00pm or to arrange delivery (agency will either mail or deliver the kit). May also walk-in for supplies on-site Th: 11:00am-1:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm. Kits may also be obtained at outreach events throughout the county. (the agency has many throughout the month) - the schedule for these outreach events can be found on the events calendar on the website. Clients will need to know how to use the kit (training is offered by phone or web video). If the client is already familiar with how to use the kit, they do not have to receive training. Organizations may order kits through website.

Opiod users, or friends and family members of opiod users (such as heroin, methadone, percocet, vicodin, and oxycontin). Will mail kits to any county in Ohio. Groups and agencies can request bulk supplies.
