Maximum of $175 to maintain or to reconnect service. Additionally, if applicable, a reconnection fee up to $36 may be added to $175, and if the utility's reconnect charge is greater than $36, the balance above $36 may be charged to the customer on the customer's next monthly bill.
For new service, security deposit may be paid up to $175, nay balance above $175 will be charged on the next month's bill.
For customers with PUCO-regulated gas and electric services that are in danger of being disconnected, payment can be split between both companies.

Issues an order that requires any PUCO regulated utility company to reconnect or maintain service (electric and natural gas) during winter heating season if the customer pays $175 plus any applicable reconnection charge not to exceed $36. During Winter Crisis, requires that any customer of a regulated utility company who has an appointment with a Community Action Agency will have their disconnection suspended for 5 days past the date of the appointment. Customers are required to enroll on a Commission ordered payment plan (winter heating season plan, one-sixth, one-ninth, or PIPP Plus if eligible). PIPP Plus Customers: PIPP Plus customers must pay the balance of the default by the due date of the next bill in order to get re-enrolled on PIPP Plus. Payment can be used to pay reconnection fees or deposits if client cannot get utilities connected at a new residence due to outstanding bills at the previous residence or poor credit.
