School-Based Mentoring | Big Brothers Big Sisters Of Central Ohio

Provides adult role models through one-to-one matches for students. Mentoring matches meet at school for their mentoring program once a week, usually during the student's lunch period. Adult volunteers are screened and provided with training before being matched with a child. Professional staff facilitates activities designed to develop the relationship, and strengthen social/emotional competencies and academic success. Professional staff also provides ongoing match support and coaching to help the mentoring relationship strengthen and achieve positive impact.
